Remove ClockWorkMod when bootloader unavailable?

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help. I want to return my Blade to its factory state before I flashed with Clockworkmod and custom ROM. I have read around the forums here and understand that I need the original stock image files (which I have) and need to flash them onto the phone using fastboot.

My problem is that I am unable to get into the bootloader to use fastboot. Holding down the Volume + key while booting the phone has no effect and the phone continues to do a normal boot up. Holding Volume - takes the phone to Clockworkmod as it currently should.

Does anyone know how I may get into the bootloader mode to use flashboot to put the origninal image and recovery back on? Or is there another method I can use to return the phone to the original state?

Thanks

Stobe

what model of the blade is your one? some have fastboot mode (via the vol+ button disabled by default). also if you upgraded to gen2 via tpt method, the earlier beta's of wbaws tpt (i think upto about v4) did not enable fastboot via vol+.

you either need to re-enable it or to boot into fastboot mode from the phone (this can be done from some roms via the power off menu or tho a terminal or via adb)

tho if you just wana return to absoute stock why don't you wack a stock tpt onto your phone (there must be some around somewhere).

PS: also if your now gen2 you will need to downgrade to gen1 before returning the phone.

Thanks for the reply hugobosslives. Mine is the TFT model Gen1 I believe. I have not used the TPT (not sure of this acronym) method to upgrade to Gen2.

You mention re-enabling the bootloader, how might I go about doing this?

"tho if you just wana return to absoute stock why don't you wack a stock tpt onto your phone" I guess I need to look in to how to do this then, I'm assuming the tpt thing doesn't need fastboot?

Have you tried "menu" and vol up held on boot.

Yes, sadly this has no effect either.

download a reboot app from the market and it should have an option to boot into bootloader mode.

or look up the command for the terminal you use to boot into bootloader mode

Thanks for all the suggestions guys and girls. Unfortunately I appear to have now bricked my phone. I was able to first use the R12 rom to reboot into recovery and then I tried following the information in these two threads:

http://android.modac...rkmod-recovery/

http://android.modac...40#entry1415840

including these instructions:

first copy the mcri-system-stock-OUK_P729BV1.0.0B05.tar.gz over to the root of the sd card and rename it to mcri-system.tar.gz

reboot the mobile, this should bring back all the orange stuff.

restart in bootloader mode (I did this from the software reboot)

with flashboot (i used windows)

fastboot-windows flash recovery recovery.blade.stock.img

fastboot-windows flash boot boot.blade.stock.img

fastboot-windows reboot

Unfortunately when I got to the fastboot-windows flash boot boot.blade.stock.img step, the transfer failed and I unwittingly tried rebooting my phone and PC to see if there was a comms/driver error. This has left my phone without Clockworkmod recovery, which I wanted, but no image to boot. I am now unable to get into recovery mode either by hard or soft means and the phone just sits at the Android logo when powered on.

Any suggestions, (either for how to recover or for a new phone)? :-(

dont worry its not bricked.

easiest thing to try is to put a tpt on your sdcard (in a folder called "image") and turn on with menu, vol+ and power
