Guest Sblade12 Posted August 11, 2011 Report Posted August 11, 2011 Hey I understand that parts of this topic may of been brought up , and apologies if they have. But I was just wondering is cyanogen mod 7 the only 2.3 rom you can use on Gen 1 osf? or is there some other alternatives? Also would you recomend cm7 and which stable version do you think is the best?

Out of curiosity, why not just upgrade to Gen 2? If you want Gingerbread ROM's then it's ideal for you IMO.

I dont want to upgrade because then you cant use your nandroid gen1 back up , and to be honest I'd rather just stay on Gen 1.
Guest Stuart_f Posted August 11, 2011 Report Posted August 11, 2011 If you need to revert to your backup you could always TPT back to gen 1 and apply your nandroid. There's no reason not to move to Gen 2.

Guest Sblade12 Posted August 11, 2011 Report Posted August 11, 2011 I'll take into consideration about updating to Gen 2. But I will also take into consideration using a converter. Also if i was to use a converter which converter would I use to update to cm7 7.1? Because on the universal converter post there are several updated versions of converter and I was just wondering which one I would use? Many Thanks.

Try the latest version of the converter with CM 7.1, I think this it's: http://www.mediafire.com/?bchlk2n88v27lev
Guest targetbsp Posted August 12, 2011 Report Posted August 12, 2011 When it reaches the stage where no one is even sure which converter to use with which rom version with certainty... I'd argue switching to gen2 is now the safer option. :D
