Guest Frankish Posted August 12, 2011 Report Posted August 12, 2011 Someone on Ebay is selling the Monte Carlo for £229 rooted and with CWM recovery installed... What a rip off and it's someone who comes here! I noticed one of the screenshots he used is one i personally took myself of my homescreen on my ZTE Blade! It has my city on Fancy Widget and my exact homescreen layout and wallpaper...funny stuff. Also lol at "Grab a genuine bargain!" and "You will not be disappointed with the power of this device!". I wont link the auction as don't want to promote it but i just want to say if you're reading this.,. GET A GRIP!

Its being sold aside the preorder's for the unlocked ones, at around the same price so someone might be fooled. Also, in the listing where he states the specs as 512mb its says ''Unlike others with only 256mb' And apparently its better than the ones from the shop's as its been tried and tested!!!
Guest Frankish Posted August 12, 2011 Report Posted August 12, 2011 Also is Copilot not a paid app as he is "providing it and many more for free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1". :)
Guest Atomix86 Posted August 12, 2011 Report Posted August 12, 2011 That's the problem with free software worked hard to create by talented people, there will always be others leeching and making money from it.
Guest Professor Frink Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 If you look in the completed listings for PAYG Monte Carlo, one has sold for £179. Apparently it has a custom rom (I wonder where that came from?) but is network locked to Orange. So what has the buyer actually paid the premium for?
Guest Paguro Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 (edited) one has sold for £179. I bought it.I'm waiting for arrives. I'm from Russia. Edited August 13, 2011 by Paguro
Guest hemant1 Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 I bought it.I'm waiting for arrives. I'm from Russia. But it's going to come locked
Guest Simon O Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 Frankish is it the one sold by cinderella*1* ? I don't have an ebay account but anyone that does please take the time to report the listing and keep an eye on the seller. I don't mind people selling phones rooted with MoDaCo tools but I do mind when they are charging an extra £60!

Guest Simon O Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 Yeah I saw that too. Also he's on this forum! Hello if you are looking ;)
Guest Frankish Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 He will have definitely read this post. Hi! Please don't rip people off and provide paid apps on auctions and we could be friends :D
Guest blondejon Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 So if i sell mine with no apps for £200 is that ok :P
Guest Banner Posted August 14, 2011 Report Posted August 14, 2011 I dont agree with what the guy is doing but how many of you are signed up to amazon's free app of the day? Is that not piracy? Just because it comes from a legitimate source doesn't mean that by circumnavigating Amazons restrictions your NOT illegally downloading software. I'm not casting any stones, I just dont thnk anyone else should either. We all have to follow our own moral compas. If people are stupid enough to pay over the odds for something that is free thats down to them. PS I'm not that guy

But selling a phone and providing "£250 worth of free apps" is not cool.
Guest Sami Beck Posted August 17, 2011 Report Posted August 17, 2011 This is daylight robbery! I have reported him for using other peoples work and claiming extra capital from it!
