Guest Priyansh Posted August 12, 2011 Report Posted August 12, 2011 Hello all, I have found a working 4 pin to 3 pin converter for our ZTE Blade. It works wonders for me. :D Company : MAXX Model : All out BF-01 Price : Rs. 250 Not able to attach files here. Here are the links: http://imageshack.us...0812180727.jpg/ http://imageshack.us...0812180749.jpg/
Guest targetbsp Posted August 12, 2011 Report Posted August 12, 2011 In what way does it work wonders? What's it do? Get rid of the low level hissing that non stock headphones produce?

I checked again and didn't notice any hissing noise whatsoever. Also the headphones provided with it throw out good sound quality.

(kinda like a wii console under heavy strain)

Guest Chocolate Columbo Posted August 12, 2011 Report Posted August 12, 2011 Hmm. I am assuming this will solve my issue. When I plug my headphones in the phone, I have to pull them out a little bit or I lose all vocals and bass, it sounds very strange. They have 4 black bands on them you see, and they seem to work fine with everything else. The same with the jack on my phone, they work with my other lesser headphones. What I've done is use my speaker extension cable (It has only two black bands on the jack), tie it up and use that to plug my headphones in, and plug that into the phone. I guess this is what I need?
Guest slashdotted Posted August 12, 2011 Report Posted August 12, 2011 This cable might solve my problem, thanks just for info... Can somebody please tell me if it is normal that the built-in microphone is disabled when a 3pin headphone (without mic) is plugged in???
Guest unrandomsam Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 Where can these actually be bought (ship to the UK) I presume at a reasonable cost ?

I haven't faced such problem you mentioned bro. It fits perfectly in and the sound output through any headphones connected to it is good. No problems at all.

In my case, if I directly plug in any 3 pin headset, the inbuilt mic in my phone works with it. The connector I referred has a microphone which works like a charm. No problems.
Guest Priyansh Posted August 14, 2011 Report Posted August 14, 2011 Where can these actually be bought (ship to the UK) I presume at a reasonable cost ? I am actually trying to find a seller who ships these worldwide. I bought it from a local seller, so will contact him again if he knows any dealer for the same. Will post any update here only ASAP!
Guest Priyansh Posted August 14, 2011 Report Posted August 14, 2011 Does it switch radio stations (Presets) when you press the headset button? And could you please provide the link for the product? Nope, it doesn't. I am trying to find an online seller. Will post any update here.

No problems at all. I'm betting that if you took the stock headphones from a Sony A845 and put them in the Blade, you'll see what I mean. There's nothing wrong with my phone's jack port, and nothing wrong with the headphones either. It just seems like an unlucky combination and I need something similar to this to solve it.

I've tried with CM Nightly 161 and GSF b17 & b19 but with both my headphones are detected as headset :(
Guest rogorb Posted August 23, 2011 Report Posted August 23, 2011 reading the post I guess four jack to three jack convertor he has is a mic + three jack like this DIY version: http://mifrullaperlatesta.blogspot.com/2010/10/home-made-do-it-yourself-ipod-touch-2g.html I think however that this should do the trick also: take your blade and lookat te screen, tilt it a little towards you t see the jck conector, in the jack connector you see a metal thinghy shining that should be the mic contact so making sure that doesnt connect to your headphone should work, it looks quite easy to just bend it a little the whole process should take only seconds. post how that goes, never had any issues with my zenheiser but I guess your zte connector is more bent or your headphne connector is thicker. because i truly think this a hardware problem (a very simple one)
Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 (edited) How about this? http://uk.startech.c...Female~MUYHSMFF Does the same thing but with two 3pin sockets, one for headphones and t'other for microphone Edited August 25, 2011 by Mushroom_Lord

I'm really interested in buying one as I hate the hissing noise on the Blade. If anyone else has any ideas as to how to get rid of it that'd be great. To my mind it definitely does seem to be the difference between 4-pin and 3-pin connectors as the ZTE headphones have 4 bands of them and don't get hissing whereas all other get hissing with only 3 bands on the jack.
Guest targetbsp Posted October 8, 2011 Report Posted October 8, 2011 (edited) Seconded! I also forgot about this and would be interested in any feedback on a UK supplied adaptor. Having said that... I haven't listened to music in a while and just tried and oddly mine sounds fine atm with 3 pin headphones. :S Edited October 8, 2011 by targetbsp

Guest Siddhartz Posted October 8, 2011 Report Posted October 8, 2011 Hey, will this convertor solve the issue of low volume through headphones? I get really low music/audio volume through my Sony MDR XD-100... they worked well when I plugged them in my old Nokia 7210 supernova using a 2.5mm to 3.5mm jack convertor :( now I cant listen to music on this phone. Thx.
Guest julianpaul Posted October 8, 2011 Report Posted October 8, 2011 Didn't wanna start a new thread for this question, so i'll add this on here and see if anyone can help. Can the blade detect the difference between a standard pair of earphones and a headset with mic? And if so, does it allow using the phone mic to speak when listening to the call on standard earphones (TRS). Also posted here: SF Compatible Wired Headset Found
Guest targetbsp Posted October 8, 2011 Report Posted October 8, 2011 Could you just use an iphone adapter? They're 4 pin to headphone and under £1.50 delivered on ebay. Or have Apple used some weird and wonderful proprietary connection?
