Guest Flamezz100 Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 (edited) Hi Guys, Have I bricked my blade? Its a GEN1 OLED and it was running SS fine.... I wanted to return it to stock state and downloaded: OUK.P729BV1.0.0B05 and flashed it via clockwork... Now I am stuck in android green on startup and it goes no further!! I cant get to clockwork either... HELP!!! Desperate times.... UPDATE: First and Foremost... A BIG THANX to the community, the information was both useful and relatively straight forward. Credit where credit is due..... Which brings me on to the most baffling part... I have tried the TPT method and managed to boot clockwork... but thats as far as it goes! Tried to install SS5, installation smooth... Reboot... Clockwork!! I have established it is most definatly a GEN1 (via trial and error of firmware flashes) to clear up earlier confusion. Other methods requiring stock recovery, I have flashed and had NO issue entering FTM... The computer recognises the Blade, I have used the modified flasher with reports of "done" and "success" I even thought of going root by applying the GEN2 to GEN1 (available in reply posts) procedure, almost tricking the Blade but gaining the ability to Flash to 98% and install a Rom (I chose SS5 for obvious reasons) and completing the series of key presses to complete the process... All coming back as Good Job!!! ...... Reboot the Blade... woooooooaaaaaahhhh.... CLOCKWORK!!!! I am seriously confused here guys... The Blade is obviously not dead (yet, although I'm sure at some point the risk of perm brick is ever present) But I hoping someone will publically embarass me as I'm sure if we can get to Clockwork, surely we are half way there!! I have tried to flash Clockwork back to its rightful place etc... and regardless it will boot back there failing flashing restore stock recovery.... ?????? Thanks in advance.... Yours most confused.......com! Edited August 13, 2011 by Flamezz100
Guest chickenfeeder Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 Have you tried using a TPT image instead? Copy to the /image/ directory of your SD and when powering up, hold volume up.
Guest chickenfeeder Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 You might not have the rom you want with the TPTs available but you should then be able to access CWM recovery.
Guest Flamezz100 Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 I would be ever so grateful if you could help!! I have played with a couple of blades and bought the current one as a windows upgraded GEN2... I follwed instructions online to go back to GEN1 (Why u ask) I know... I just wanted the SS Circle mod for the battery indicator!! This was all running smooth... I decided to trade my blade in at CEX alond with a few other handsets i have and thought i had best re flash stock orange rom and downloaded: OUK.P729BV1.0.0B05.. Flashed via clockwork and now the green android man is my blades new friend!!! Again, Many Thanks in advance for your time... You might not have the rom you want with the TPTs available but you should then be able to access CWM recovery.

Guest Flamezz100 Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 (edited) Now have my blade stuck in FTM mode.... HEEEEELLLLLLLLP!!!UPDATE: Now back in clockwork but still reboots back to clockwork......???????????? Edited August 13, 2011 by Flamezz100
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 I think you can't go back to gen1 if you upgraded to gen2 by the windows method. You are stucked in gen2
Guest Flamezz100 Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 I did go back to GEN1 with a tutorial from here on MoDaCo... I have managed to put clockwork back via TPT but only in boot today... I think I may have the IMEI problem as I cant flash SSprings... Tried METHOD 4 and it just boots back to FTM....!!!!! I think you can't go back to gen1 if you upgraded to gen2 by the windows method. You are stucked in gen2
Guest k0zmic Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 I think you can't go back to gen1 if you upgraded to gen2 by the windows method. You are stucked in gen2 I think you can go back to Gen 1 with the Windows method: http://android.modaco.com/topic/338653-guide-how-to-restore-gen1-safely-after-windows-upgrade-to-gen2/ @Flamezz An IMEI problem shouldn't stop you from flashing Swedish Spring.
Guest Flamezz100 Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 I really dont know which way to go... I thought i had gone back to GEN1 already.. When i TPT method it, i can get clockwork to boot... but ONLY clockwork!! Once i have installed ss.. It still boots back to clockwork!! I am currently trying METHOD 4 from the earlier posts in this thread, but will now attempt GEN2 Firmware on TPT instead.. Failing PERMANENT BRICK... I dont know what else!!! Thanks very much for your input!!!!!! I think you can go back to Gen 1 with the Windows method: http://android.modac...pgrade-to-gen2/ @Flamezz An IMEI problem shouldn't stop you from flashing Swedish Spring.
