ZTE root unsucessful?

Have a ZTE P729B blade orange sf - with 2.1 installed.

Ran a couple of unrooting apps that worked BUT stuck with non supervisory permission so cannot change op system. Z4mod just hangs.

Ran Root Check err- Root Access is not granted. Superuser.apk-apk is installed

Standard su binary location is -l / system/bin/su:-r-sr-x---root system 26264 2011 -08-14 10:24 su

Standard su binary location is -l / system/xbin/su

-rwxr-xr-x root 1994516

2011 -08 -14 10:29 su

Alternate su binary location is -l / sbin/su:

/sbin/su: Permission denied

SU binary is not found or not working properly

Any ideas on fixing this please?
