Firstly thanks to where it is due for all the effort and time put into these Roms.

Keyboard still not responding correctly. Back to b02 I go for the excellent keyboard calibration but with poor battery performance. I'll try removing the Radio. Poor battery I can just about live with. Poorly calibrated keyboard drives me crazy  Fingers crossed for a mash-up Rom that combines both good battery and keyboard :)

Yeah I agree the keyboard is a bit off, however, until that's fixed I'm making use of Smart Keyboard Pro which has it's own keyboard calibration tool, that's solved the problem for me :P

But in all seriousness the battery life on this ROM is simply phenomenal, this is by far the best ROM to date, even the little issues it has.

i`d say 158 with deadlink-kernal#64 is the best so far, but have only just installed this new 161 rom but it looks good and from what i`ve done so far is faster too cant comment on battery life yet and calibration is ok but if your a text-a-holic or facebook fanatic then it would probably irritate you. Answer to your other question no the build no. is different (incremental=eng.buildbot.20110810.112214)

thanks for the heads up on the smart keyboard pro, it does work better than the standard keyboard input not perfect but alot better, i found :D the 4.4.1apk (latest) of the said app but fc on me all the time sooooooo i installed the 4.2.3.apk older version and is working ok........ so if you want a better keyboard experience TRY IT OUT and thank RobertsAccount

EDIT: after rebooting phone Smart Keyboard Pro old version kept fc-ing

I use Smart Keyboard Pro for a long time and I think is the best for the racer. I think the fcs happen when you install it on the sd card and the system try to acces it at the reboot, when the sd card is not ready yet. Is that your case?

no i install normal process to phone internal knowing that installing on the sdcard is a delayed action on phone boot, if i need to move/install apps i do it manually and only on non system vital apps, what version are you using?

Well, I've been using Go Keyboard for some time, and not only it is good for typing (I seem to push the letter I want most of the time!) but it hardly gives any typing bugs. Anyway, I find Go Launcher as my personal favorite, the best homescreen replacement and it's products are also a good piece of work.

thx, your suggestion works for me, i got GO keyboard installed and yes its better for typing not so many typing errors and no fc`s lol, as for Launchers i`ll stick with ADW Launcher Ex 1.3.3

Just tried Go Keyboard and it really gives few mistakes compared to the others. I'll stick with it so I can use these great new roms. Thank you Khan!

Go Launcher is great with all its features (great widgets and apps menu) and good looking, but I find it (and ADW as well) going slow after some time of using (a week). So I've changed to Zeam...it's very simple, but it's also faster.

ADW is no better than Go, I've been using ADW EX for a long time before changing to Go Launcher. ADW is slower and on the newest ROMs Go launcher is faster. Like all launchers, after some RAM-taking app (like Opera Mobile) it has a second or two of rendering, but it is good. As for the drawer - often refreshing...it is kind of annoying, but Racer has just a little RAM aaand it has even less if you look at the monitoring... why do we have so little RAM? How much is the Android taking by default anyway, and can that RAM be decreased or some changes made to it?

I'm gonna try the newest recovery and the newest #164 ROM :)
