Guest 904473 Posted August 15, 2011 Report Posted August 15, 2011 (edited) I bought two ZTE Blade phones in China from an authorised Wo retailer. However, although the phone works well , the Android Market App will not launch. I re-installed Market and still it will not launch. Then I thought I would try and install straight from the Market website. When I go to the Market website and sign in with my google id everything seems fine. Then, when I try to download from the Market website I get a message that there is no android device associated with the account. I checked the settings and my phone number is definitely in the settings. Any ideas please. Thanks, Karl Ps.... Market was NOT pre-installed on this device. Edited August 15, 2011 by 904473
Guest KonstaT Posted August 15, 2011 Report Posted August 15, 2011 You need to add/replace Vending.apk, MarketUpdater.apk and probably also GoogleServicesFramework.apk. It'll be a lot easier just to install custom ROM with market included. If your phone is chinese ZTE-U V880 there are only two ROMs supporting screen type used in that phone - CM7 and Triple Two Project.
Guest t0mm13b Posted August 15, 2011 Report Posted August 15, 2011 Just a thought - is it possible that the Market app has registered the Build number (this can be found in Settings > About Phone, scroll to bottom) to the Market website itself, which may not be recognized when trying to download? Perhaps modifying the build.prop to trick the Market website and the app into downloading it? Or using Market Enabler?
