Guest Justin Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Is there any way of setting a default signature for SMS messages? Are there Keys for Page Up / Page Down or Home / End when browsing web pages? When connected to GPRS and browsing the internet, there seems to be a 1 minute (or shorter) 'no activity' timeout before I get disconnected. It then reconnects when I click a new link. I was under the impression GPRS was meant to stay connected a lot longer than that. What am I missing? Is there any way of re-ordering the program menu? Thanks!
Guest Bazz Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Is there any way of setting a default signature for SMS messages? No, but you can use the predefined text and then go to Menu->Insert Text Are there Keys for Page Up / Page Down or Home / End when browsing web pages? You'll only get an estimated 2.5 hours of battery power if you have GPRS on all the time. The timing is configurable in Programs->Settings->Menu->Options Is there any way of re-ordering the program menu? Yup, they're in alphabetical order so just rename them in IPSMWindowsStart Menu. The 1st 6 will always be at the top though.
Guest Bazz Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 BTW just to clarify it will keep the connection open if you are doing anything and you only get charged for data downloaded. That's what it means my always on. It you aren't doing anything there's no real point in keeping it open as, in theory at least, it should connect almost instantly. In practice however it takes ages to connect, sometime involving a reboot, a scream and a train ride to somewhere else. Oh well don't you love emerging technology ;-)

Cheers Bazz, I'd been looking (albeit not very hard) for the answer to this one! Now, what to call everything.....
