Problem Installing ROM on OUK_P729BV1.0.0B10 build

Hi,

I have searched around the forums and have not found what I am looking for so thought I should start my own topic. Sorry if this has already been answered!

I have rooted my Orange ZTE San Fransisco and have been following the step by step guidelines found here http://sanfranciscoandroid.co.uk/

I have reached the point where I want to install a new ROM but have come up against a problem.

I have reached step 6 here http://sanfranciscoandroid.co.uk/android/how-to-choose-and-install-a-rom/ but when I switch on the phone I get a white square with some letters in the middle. (Sorry forgot to make a note of the letters).

I tried the trouble shooting option below step 7 and tried to re-boot into recovery from recovery manager. The phone switched off and then back on and I was left with a small android man with an exclamation mark next to him. There were no menu options and I left it for over ten mins.

I would like to know how I get beyond this point please?

As a point of interest when I checked on the build number of the phone it does not end in 05 or 08 but is OUK_P729BV1.0.0B10

will this be what the problem is?

Many thanks in advance.

switch of mobile and hold volume down while holding the power button that should take you into clockwork if you install clockwork.

If the letters are FTM then you haven't got Clockwork Mod installed. Either try again, or follow one of the pinned topics in the sister forum to this one - ZTE Blade ROMs & ROM Customisation. I recommend a TPT solution.

Thanks I realised that whilst I was installing Clockwork I missed a step. Just run through it all again and have a shiny new ROM working on my phone. biggrin.gif
