CyanogenMod 7 for ZTE Skate (Updated 06/01!!)

NEW RELEASE EVERYONE!!!

Thanks a lot for the cyanogenmod firmware.

I have some questions

Can we build our own based upon your work? I see you use git.

In how far does the procedure to build the firmware differ from what

is documented in cyanogenmod wiki? That wiki does not (yet) mention

the ZTE Skate.

Will your work be merged with cyanogenmod mainline code, and, if so,

do you have an idea when?

Have a nice day.

Yes absolutely. The only stipulation I have is that if you are realeasing a binary build to the community, please share your source

The procedure is almost exactly same as that of the blade - the build system needs to be hacked to see the Skate though.

I hope the device will be merged into the tree but I'm not sure when exactly.

Thanks for the update Tilal,

BUT

Again Im having problems with the Ext partition, same as with the V2.5

The Ext4 partition isnt being recognized at bootup. Ive reformated to Ext3 and the same problem.

Ive tried both link2sd and Cyanogens own S2E, both dont see the Ext partion because its not being seen at bootup...

Ive gone back to V2 again because it works with Ext partion, I cant do without Ext partition

Ah. I don't understand why that's happening. I will recheck I included the fix.

After some thinking guys I've decided to take a break from ron development until the ice cream sandwich source is released. So no more updates for cM7 for a few weeks. Its just becoming too hectic for me to manage. Ill still be around on the forum though :)

You deserve to take it easy, now you have unlock the pressure is off...

If you have a fix for the Ext mount issue in V2.5 and V3 can you post a link to it...if not its ok, the v2 is just fine

There has only been you three really contributing, you and Tilaz and recently xiaoyaoswi with the unlock (and toiletdrop)...

I was surprised none of the usuall modaco devs had any interest in the omc...I suppose theyve all moved on to greener fields...

First of all, I am using v3.0I don't know if it is a bug or not, I can't find anything through the search of market(none of apps could be found)

Neither the market in gapps-gb-20110828-signed nor the newest market 3.3.11

I would try to flash back to v2.0 later

Does anyone encounter same problem?

Thanks!

Did a full wipe and solved

@dadashi: What ext mount issue? I use CM7 V2.5 with ext3 as 2nd. partition for Link2SD without any problem.

like I wrote above cmv2.5 or v3 won't mount my 500MB Ext3 partition...I've tried link2sd and s2e...I've even reformated the sd card

With V2 I have no problems...Bluemonte is also fine

I use a sandisk 16GB class4 microsd with a 500MB Ext3 at the end...

I just flashed V3.0 (upgraded from V2.5 without any wipe) and I have no problem with my 512MB ext3 partition at the end of my 8GB card either.

Yeah, one suggestion: Tell us where we can find the build.prop :)

Market from gapps-gb-20110828-signed works for me on V2.5 and V3.0.

Something wrong with your gmail-account?

I found that market can't recognizer my device...

So I make a full wipe and it works!

But I have to backup all apps again......=____=

you can find build.prop in system/

Ah lol forgot...

Find it under /system , simply open it with a text editor and make the modifications you like.

My favourite one is the lcd density one :P

EDIT

If you're going to change the value here:

#proximit sensor screen off delay(in miliseconds)

ro.lge.proximity.delay=200

mot.proximity.delay=200

If you want to go under 200, don't make it less than 150 because it can kill the dialer.
