Silly question, per app notification sounds

I know that some apps (Go SMS , remember seeing maybe a couple others) let you change their notification sound. I would like to have something whereby each app that uses a notification sound, gets its own notification. Anyone know of something similar?

Close, but not quite. Oh well. I guess it's time to find some tutorials and see if I can write it myself. Probably take a few months, I know nothing about Android programming.
