HELP!

Hi guys I need some urgent help :( my pulse is running the latest cm6 and is network unlocked, I am currently in Florida on vacation. I am on the at&t network as is my dad, now for the problem: I can receive calls and texts but cannot send any calls or texts, I have plenty of credit but I get a number unavailable message when calling, and all but one of the 15 or so texts I've tried to send have failed :/ oh and I've got signal as does the person I'm trying to contact :( my dad has a blackberry bold and can send and receive with no problems which leads me to assume there's something wrong with my phone as we are both on the same network, activated our Sims together and I could send and receive in the UK.

any help would be appreciated, and if you have a solution please post as a step by step guide
