Hi all

Swisstourist asked whether ZTE will continue to ship the Blade with so many new devices in the pipeline. ZTE said:

"The Blade has proven extremely popular and while a market for the Blade exists, ZTE will continue shipping the device. As far as ZTE can see, there is still a demand for the Blade."

Sounds great, was a little worried since I read on fastcardtech that this model was discontinued...

On a similar note, has Zte got anything lined up for their next android handset, after the Skate?

- any little sneaky notes on what to expect or are you unaware of any upcoming android zte handsets? (or simply the information isn't ready for public release)

There is the Blade refresh (eg. the Libra which comes with Gingerbread as standard) and the Tureis (both of which already have forums here). As for any other phones, apparently they aren't allowed to be revealed yet ;).

All good things must come to an end of course, but the Blade is not coming to an end yet!

Indeed, ZTE's handset roadmap is a closely guarded secret. This summer ZTE announced its intentions to sell own-branded products (as oppose to whitelabelling) - so you can be sure there are plans for plenty of devices.

in fact, I just purchased a second ZTE blade from orange.

Didn't see them in the shop, didn't have time to wait to ask, so I got one online at orange in Switzerland.

this phone is very good, and I think it has another 1 year life before double core phone invade the market.
