Guest Clarkey` Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 So, I was running Portugese spring RLS4, but had no choice but to get rid of it because the phone didn't work i.e. people couldn't hear me, made the phone pretty useless. Shame as everything else was sweet, Anyway, SS5 now, and the phone works. Shame I lost power notification tool, and the proper battery gauge. Most annoying though is that I can't sync contacts with my facebook. In accounts and sync I can click on facebook and nothing happens, in the FB app there is no sync option available. What gives? Starting to lose faith in the blade to be honest.

Also a theme will give you a proper battery gauge if you want one (I assume by proper you mean gives percentage battery).
Guest Clarkey` Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 what is GSF? I went back to Portugese spring RLS3b, no facebook sync was not working out for me at all. With this ROM I have launcher pro, power widget, facebook sync works, and I can have a conversation with people. Drawbacks though, WiFi keeps messing up, had no problem with SS5, GoSMS will not recognise contacts from facebook, camcorder doesn't work. I really just want a ROM that works properly, maybe I'd be better off with the stock orange rom.
Guest Clarkey` Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 ah yeah, looked at this. My phone is Gen1, needs to be converted to Gen2 right, is this risky? Does it run nice and smoothly like Froyo does?

Does it run nice and smoothly like Froyo does? Yep. Not if you read the instructions carefully. I found it quicker and smoother than SS. You can use the All in One TPT's to upgrade to Gen 2 and install GSF in one step.
Guest Clarkey` Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 ok I'll read up on it now, hopefully this is the answer to my woes.
