Hi everyone!

Do you know any solution for the camera sound? It's horrible... I've tried to delete the cameraclick.ogg file from the /system/media/ui folder, but after that the camera doesn't work at all. (also tried to change the .ogg files but with the same result).

Anny better ideas??????

I'd appreciate a working solution for this. I'm on GSF. Apparently there's no shutter sound when the phone's on silent, but that's not ideal.

you should not delete cameraclick.ogg file, have you tried replacing it with blank ogg with the same "cameraclick" name ?

It does work, I did it on a rooted standard belgian mobistar rom.

I did not delete the (i a androidnoob, no knowledge about linux)...ogg file but I renamed it to something else, which is actually the same in that opinion.

camera works perfect, no sound (did it for the bleep and the shuttersound)

i tend to put system volume down and up again afterwards 'cause iget the feeling camera drains the battery otherwise, but thats a small minor to having camera with no sound.

i tink it just keeps looking for the sound or something like that in the bckground

Guess I have,

rom is never changed...

I just want the usb host mode and that its 2.1 only far as I know, so I'm stuck with that.

I am rooted for that reason, but therefor I only have to runtime patch it. and I haven't had the time to test it for real, computer sais its good, but I lack the hardware

I should really make me that Ycable to test it, but was in thesis period and now exams.

something for next month. to busy now

I should have a backup, 'cause I wouldn't alter something without that being saved somewhere, what kind of file is it you want? I'll look it op for you then.
