CM7.1 to a current Nightly - is a full wipe necessary?

Hi folks,

I've been using CM7 on and off on my Blade (Gen 1). I've converted it to Gen 2 and have been trying out CM7.1 RC1. Apart from a few annoyances (for example: it seems that unprompted routing of the audio in calls with Viber - and possibly other VoIP clients too - to the loudspeaker still occurs, and the LED remains on even after you've checked / cleared the notifications), it's really good. But I'd like to switch it over to the Nightlies instead. If I was to do that, would I need to perform a full wipe or would I just wipe the caches and install the ROM from there?

Thank you for your reply. I have to admit when it comes to ROM's I'm still rely on instruction quite a bit. I believe the newest Nightly builds use a newer kernel than RC1 (I'm not 100% sure if that's true or not), so even with that in mind you're definitely sure a wipe is not necessary?

You only need to wipe dalvik cache.
