Guest Blox Posted August 22, 2011 Report Posted August 22, 2011 Heya, Recently upgraded from a Blade to the O2X, and have decided to install a custom ROM. I have managed to root with superoneclick and install CWM 4.0.0.5. However when I go to install the custom ROM, they are not there, and when i choose install zip > choose zip, only a few folders including DCIM and LOST.DIR. However, if I boot my phone up, the zipped files are on the External SD, so what is going wrong? Is there something I have not done? Thanks, Nathan.
Guest wfd Posted August 22, 2011 Report Posted August 22, 2011 Try this CWM http://android.modaco.com/topic/340512-recovery-cwm-based-recovery-4015/ Use script for external SD to install.
Guest Rusty! Posted August 22, 2011 Report Posted August 22, 2011 (edited) It's because ROM Manager and CWM don't go together as stock, the thread above will sort you out. ClockworkMod (from ROM Manager) mounts the external card as /sdcard and ignores the internal one (unless there is no external card, then the internal one is mounted as /sdcard), so when you tell ROM Manager to flash from /sdcard, the file it tries to install isn't there in CWM. Guest Blox Posted August 22, 2011 Report Posted August 22, 2011 Yes, I have used it and it has seemed to work now. Thanks! :D Loving my O2X even more now :)
