Guest hecatae Posted August 22, 2011 Report Posted August 22, 2011 Attention: Xperia mini (ST15i) and Xperia mini pro (SK17i) – please do not unlock these phones. There is an issue with flashing the original kernel via Fastboot. Note: We have seen in forums that customers unlocking the boot loader on their phones have experienced problems when they accept a FOTA (Firmware upgrade Over The Air) update. For customers that have unlocked the boot loader please do not accept the Firmware upgrade OTA. more details on bootloader unlocking here from Sony Ericsson: http://unlockbootloader.sonyericsson.com/ has anyone got a mini yet, and have you unlocked the bootloader?
Guest t0mm13b Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Have the ST15i in my possession and have to say its actually quite a good handset. Am pleased with it :)
Guest t0mm13b Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Have unlocked the bootloader - yay! \o/ Now, how would I know there's an FOTA update? Or is that over wifi/3g? Sorry for sounding lame and n00bish but in fairness, coming from the Zte Blade community and not having that sort of thing on the Blade...would be curious to know anyway as never experienced a phone spamming me "YO, FOTA UPDATE"... :D
Guest hecatae Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 sorry FOTA = firmware over the air, all 2011 xperia devices are capable of this, as you have unlocked the bootloader, please decline the update if your phone prompts you
