Droped my SanFran in the garden yesterday. It stayed outside for around 3 hours and got rather wet. It was working fine when i found it, but this morning it will no longer boot.

Does not respond at all without a charger.

The recovery console still works correctly, i manager to do a nandbackup.

Does anyone have any ideas what i can do?

you are lucky it still works to an extent, so phone works only with charger plugged in? if so sounds like the battery has died.....try taking the battery out of phone and putting them both on a dry towel and placing them in a dry warm (not humid) place like an airing cupboard for a few hours this will dry out any moisture in the phone and maybe help the battery to....

Came here to post an update and fully enough, you're exactly right, it was indeed the battery. Got a friend to lend me his battery and bam, the phone booted up perfectly.

Now i need to find a replacement :(

But at least i know that it's not the phone that's broken :) so it's good news!

Searching ebay for batteries.

Does anyone know anything about those 1500mAh cells? Are they real? is there any noticeble difference?

this looks rather interesting. A charger and 2 batteries at very nice price. Long wait thought :(

i dont know the original battery capacity (mAh) of the san-fran as i have a Racer (mAh 1100) but the highter the mAh the longer the battery will last during charges, looks a good deal on ebay with 2 batteries, the guy has good feedback too

Problem is that alot of higher capacity batteries are fake. But it sure does look like a good deal, even if it's same performance.
