Remove system functions/apps like phone, sms, etc

Hello @ll,

I have an old Pulse-Phone, which i want to use only as a simple (non-phone) device for mp3's, gps tracking, or anything else.

I think, without the system functions like dialing-function, sms, etc the phone maybe has more free system resources for multimedia apps or faster booting.

So my question, is it possible to remove the functions, that I have a device like an IPod?

Or is this not possible?

If you have the phone rooted most of the functions can be removed.

I don't think that you can remove the dialer function.
