Guest josueuser Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 Sory about my very basic inglish. I brazilian, but i need help. I researched the internet and the best place to ask and clear doubts I encountered was here on MoDaCo :) I have purchased a ZTE V9 with android 2.1 Here is information from my Tablet: ______________________________ Model number: V9 Firmeware version: 2.1-update1 Baseband version: V9B01 Kernel version: 2.6.29 zte-kernel@Zdroid-SMT Build number: VIVO_V9V1.0.0.0B01 ______________________________ This is my first tablet and my first phone with Android. I have purchased it at a VIVO store, a telecom service provider here in Brazil, but my tablet was unlocked for any telecom service provide. The telephone operators work here at 850/900/1800 MHz. I already tested the 3G internet offered by two providers, and everything is working ok. The 3G internet is my main interest in this tablet, as the Wi-Fi networks are rare here. But I also want to play Angry Birds and use other (most modern) app's. Android 2.1 is not supplying my needs and ZTE V9 processor without overclocking does not help much. I learned that CyanogenMod 2.3.4 is currently the best version of android for my tablet. I root my tablet using z4root. Currently I use the VIVO's 3G internet. 've Researched a lot about ROMs and updates for my V9. Just do not know if I can use the 3G internet with the settings from my service provider (VIVO) with no problems after installing the new version of android... One more thing: I have to make a backup of my current version of android? If I decide to go back to the original version of my tablet? Thank you for all. I hope this topic helps me, as well as help other people with the same questions as me. ^_^
