Guest cjbigboy Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 Hi I have a OSF bought in January with Jap Jellyfish RLS9 Android 2.2 installed USB mounting has suddenly stopped working, previously when plugged into PC I would be asked to mount the device / enable debugging, but now nothing. It is connected OK as it is still charging Any ideas thanks CJ
Guest cjbigboy Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 Have you tried on another PC? Tried two PC's at work, sadly both the same.
Guest t0mm13b Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 Two questions: Have you installed anything recently prior to all of this?Is the cable suspect? That would be unusual for the usb to just "die"... Can you not download alogcat from the marketplace, run it and let it log to the sdcard periodically for say every 15 mins, say for example - "Okie, I will run the alogcat, dumping the log to sdcard between 14:00 and 16:00", then during the time frame period, plug in the usb cable - it will get logged. Pastebin the logcat from the sdcard or email it to yourself and we may be able to ascertain what went wrong - it could very well be the usb service in the android framework b0rk3d and needs a kick-start. :)
Guest BigF Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 Same here. Android 2.2 USB mounting is working only once after reboot. After usb connecting next time when plugging cable no messages appear. Every time I have to reboot when I want to use usb cable to access files from PC.
