Zte Racer and t mobile internet

Hi, I have unlocked a zte Racer that was on the 3 network. I have put my T Mobile Sim card in and it makes calls OK. My problem is that the internet wont connect, I have contacted T mobile and they tell me that theRacer isnt recognised on their network.

Is there any way around this.
