Guest darryd Posted September 7, 2011 Report Posted September 7, 2011 First for Italy? That's Polish ;) Yes, Italy, the user of this phone bought it in italy...;)
Guest akyp Posted September 7, 2011 Report Posted September 7, 2011 (edited) World's first dual core smartphone is probably the last, or second last, to get an official GB update. (either the P920 or the P990 will be the last) The irony. Were it not for Paul's ROMs I would have sold my device long time ago. Edited September 7, 2011 by akyp

Guest Brumlemann Posted September 8, 2011 Report Posted September 8, 2011 Norway here. PC Sync reported new update available just now. Starting the phone updater but looks like it was just trying to reapply V10D but discovered that is was already on the device so nothing to update. Are the people at LG out to mind-f*** me or what!? I really got my hopes up high here. Theory: Is the update on it's way out and they just have the update URLs crossed internally? Canceling out of everything and trying PC Suite again looking for updates. Oh yes, "New phone software available" (this could go on all day I suppose). Update: Same story once more. On a customer care scale from 1 to 10, I'd give LG minus one to the power of infinity minus one. Brumlemann
Guest g6hoq Posted September 8, 2011 Report Posted September 8, 2011 Just had a response from LG via facebook LG Mobile Hi Steve! Regarding the OS update, the date varies between local regions so while we cannot provide you with a specific date, we can assure that we are working diligently to provide the best smartphone experience for our users as soon as we can. In the meantime, thank you sincerely for your patience.2 hours ago not much use, but at least a public brush off

Guest Madsen Felipe Posted September 8, 2011 Report Posted September 8, 2011 How about that? Gingerbread update for Optimus 2x in Korea http://www.lgmobile.co.kr/popup/service/service_20110902.html
Guest Rusty! Posted September 8, 2011 Report Posted September 8, 2011 Re: 2.6.39 kernel, makefile in LG's source is wrong, apparently: @RussUnderhill @CM_arcee for me, Makefile in source LG is wrong...— Marco Biasco (@biasquez) September 8, 2011
Guest yukkio Posted September 9, 2011 Report Posted September 9, 2011 (edited) If this thing about the kernel is a kind of joke from LG... well it seems that they are kidding Edited September 9, 2011 by yukkio
Guest Rusty! Posted September 9, 2011 Report Posted September 9, 2011 Easy typo to make I guess, just swapped the 2 and the 9 over.
Guest Brumlemann Posted September 9, 2011 Report Posted September 9, 2011 Response from LG Norway when confronting them with the update behaviour: "Den oppdateringen kommer iløpet av høsten engang,september-november." Translated: "That update will arrive some time during fall, september-november" More uncertainty then :-( Brumlemann
