Guest tkelly0727 Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 neither, as long they dont suport ad-hoc, they are crap. i'm new to the android experience. whats "ad-hoc" and wound you recommend the CyanogenMod 7 (Android 2.3.4)
Guest swisstourist Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 ad-hoc is when u can connect ur zte blade, not on a station(the box with the antenna plug on adsl), but from your laptop directly . this latest receives the WIFI from a wifi station(router).

Guest vladimird Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 With SS5 I had problems with wifi. My home network was alwyas shown as Disabled althou the jey was ok. With GSF19 I dont have any problems.missing only some apps from SS. I will try to install them manualy.
Guest swisstourist Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 yes LAN or whatver you wanrt connect ur laptop or PC. still android says not supported...it s irritating when i can connect with any Nokia phone. android is good at 99%, still this ad hoc thing missing is ruining my wireless experience. i know some on other phones, it s possible to get adhoc on android, check utube. i tried for 3 months, nothing to do...it works on window7 thus.but i have xp home.
Guest lol looool Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 I can connect to windows adhoc mode and some wiri areas that uses adhoc only with a cyanogen nightly based rom
Guest snowbord Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 neither, as long they dont suport ad-hoc, they are crap. That was a pointless comment. No android supports ad-hoc. What has that got to do with the question? Swedish is OK but if you want the best Swedish experience, get one of these. Basically SS with bugs fixed. For battery, GSF is the best as SS has problems (general Froyo bug, not SS bug, so any Froyo based rom will suffer).
Guest Slot-9 Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 I can connect to windows adhoc mode and some wiri areas that uses adhoc only with a cyanogen nightly based rom Is the adhc mode the same as Tethering? If so it is on the GSF 21b under Wireless & networks (Tethering & portable hotspot: enable USB tethering or Portable Wi-Fi hotspot
Guest unrandomsam Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 (edited) neither, as long they dont suport ad-hoc, they are crap. Took me all of a minute to get adhoc working (Not that I think anyone should use it). Use barnacle wifi tether (and disable wpa_supplicant in settings) think for the ar6002 it only works with wep adhoc. You have to tick skip wpa_supplicant in settings. It certainly works and in a trivially easy way. Edited September 4, 2011 by unrandomsam
