Guest Rimlock Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 My blade is unlocked and rooted. I removed several Orange apps, and installed a few apps from Market. I don't have time to try uninstalling anything because the Force close screen blocks everything as soon as I unlock the phone. When I press Force close nothing happens, I can't try anything! I would do a reset but am unsure of how it can be done with the phone as is. It would be great if anyone can suggest a workaround or solution. Thank you very much.
Guest k0zmic Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 If you have ClockworkMod recovery installed you could try the 'Fix Permissisions' option in recovery.

Thanks k0zmic, As soon as I slide the unlock padlock to the right to unlock the phone, the 'Force Close' screen is there before I can press any other key to open recovery or anything else! I've tried a different sim, sd card out, battery out. I can't even press the home key to start the Reset to Factory process. Thanks k0zmic Edited September 4, 2011 by Rimlock
Guest k0zmic Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 In that case you could try install ClockworkMod recovery via Fastboot. Download the .img file here: http://download.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-5.0.1.0-blade.img It needs to be flashed via Fastboot: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Fastboot#Flash_Custom_Recovery.img The other alternative could be the TPT method which would erase all data but it's probably easier.
Guest Rimlock Posted October 13, 2011 Report Posted October 13, 2011 My thanks to you k0smic, and my apologies for the long delay. Personal things overtook the problems with my phone. I will try your last suggestion. Thanks again.
