Hi,

I have ZTE blade updated do Gen2 and I have installed after factory reset/memory wipe/cache wipe stir fry ROM and i've also tried CyanogenMod Nightlies. But on both systems this navigon keeps crashing down in few moments. And I guess Navigon in version 2.xxx is not compatible with gingerbread. I wanna have some offline maps and navigon is a pretty good one but How to make it stop crashing ? Do u have any experience with this problem ? Any solution ? Thanks a lot !

I know that that happens when you try to use it without mobile data enabled. (At startup) Try 3.6.2 thats the latest.

igo is fairly good (But you can only get it unofficially because they only sell to OEM's) and it doesn't announce street names (Only major road numbers).

Thanks for the tip. It's good to know u need to enable data before startup.

This is something i dont like about Navigon, it requires a data connection (i know only at the start), but that too should not be ideally needed.

Sygic/iGo/Ndrive work without any sort of data connection entirely.

I hope navigon people fix this.

The NAVIGON fix:

Navigon needs a "Market" app check before it can work, stop "Market" app using TitaniumPro and Navigon works offline...

TitaniumPro > Backup and Restore > Market > "Freeze"

Other very good navigation for cm7 OSF is iGo, it's maps are smaller in size compared to Navigon so you can get all of Europe, Mideast, Ukraine and Russia on your sd without too much memory loss...

But NAVIGON is by far the best of all the satnav mentioned in the thread...maybe TomTom or Garmin when they finaly bring out an Android version
