What is the best (and the easier) way to root the 3.027.01 leak ?

I do not want to install a custom rom because I am a Roadsync user.

1. Download SuperUser

2. Copy SuperUser to SD

3. Install Vache's Recovery v 2.2

4. Enter Recovery and flash SuperUser

5. Reboot

You are all set and ready to rock...

i rooted the 2.3.4

1. Download SuperUser

su-2.3.6.1-ef-signed.zip

md5: 6d490575092a1c5d91af56b94c2328f4

- Eclair/Froyo

2. Copy SuperUser to SD

3. Install Vache's Recovery v 2.2

4. Enter Recovery

shut down the phone

press VOLUME UP + VOLUME DOWN + FOCUS (camera button half pressed) + POWER (phone vibrates) keep all keys pressed until u enter in recovery

5. Flash superuser zip file

(be sure first to disable "toggle signature verify" under "other" menu)

6. reboot

Hi, i've done this procedure and i haven't root.

this is my firm:

Android : 2.3.4

Kernel : 2.6.35.7-perf

Baseband: A4-03.27.01

Why don't work???:(

because i check "enable root" in supermanager app, and also quickboot, and it crash(excuse for my english)

did u install super user from the market?

for me work fine, i can move programs with Link2SD and also Quickboot works now.

EDIT: sorry, re-read the thread and answer staring me in the face. Toggle signature verify.

I did not need this with previous ROM.

I was able to root the 2.3.5 ROM following this method.

But now I have SDs_Acer_LiquidMT_3.027.01_EMEA-GEN1_03.27.01.zip installed,

and the recovery RecoveryMT-2.2.zip gives a verification error trying to install su-2.3.6.1-ef-signed.zip from the SD card:

E:Wrong digest:

META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script

E: Verification failed

fixed!

Next problem - why is SD download mode broken for me in this ROM?

Hi, sorry for bumping this, but I cant get my acer liquid mt into recovery mode. I held down the volume buttons + the power + the focus button, but it doesnt work. It comes up with the android logo with and a warning sign type image (triangle with and exclamation mark) Any Ideas ?

which recovery do you have installed? if you have cwm 3.0 installed then just press volume up rather than both ;)
