Hi folks - 1st post to the forum. I bought an Orange SF some months ago and successfully de-branded and rooted (or is it de-rooted?) the phone and installed something called - if I remember - Jellyfish, as the operating system.

Now the phone is acting like my laptop (!). It takes longer to do stuff and crashes every now and then. I've installed and uninstalled probably hundreds of apps over the year (it's my 1st smart phone so have been experimenting) so I feel it's time for a clean-up or a reset of some sort. Also, my battery seems only to last around eight to twelve hours on standby.

I don't mind going through all or some of that initial process again but wondered if there is an easier way. If there isn't, does anyone know where I can find that fine set of instructions as I've lost the link?

Any help much appreciated - Martin

I would recommend backing up photos, texts, contacts, whatever is important on phone/sdcard over to your computer, then install a newer rom such as Ginger Stir Fry or CM7. You could also try using titanium backup to copy your apps, where it *might* be able to restore them on the new rom. I would say you would be shocked by the new speed and battery standy performance.

If you're up for it a good place to start is http://android.modaco.com/topic/342009-romgen2zte-gingerbread-ginger-stir-fry/, the custom TPT allows for an easy method of installation.
