swapon?

swapoff?

Am not sure why you would want swap on it, as it could wear out the sd-card with reading/writing and swapping out.

Also, it is dependant on the kernel configuration. :)

BTW Why are you not using the latest nightly? - its way better than the cm 7.0.3 stable :)

are you sure about it? i was tried last nightly version 179 but same problem , i can,t open more than 3 apps :(

thats why i use s2e to move all to sd card . but now i want to mount swap partition to increase perfomance , because all apps always going killed , so sad

i never thought anyone could need swap partition for blade as swap is used mainly on phones with low ram memory. like se x8 or samsung spica total 160mb ram. blade has more than twice!(mine never drop lower than 100mb..:) even if you enable swap it wont make your phone faster,as external partition can not compare in speed, just like pc using additional virtual memory.

why cannot you run more than 3 apps? is there any task killer installed? i can run more than 10 apps without closing them and still lots of free ram available

Some blades have low RAM, mine has just 128mb usable memory. Which stumps me to this day. I'm using ginger stir fry ROM and the Running section in Manage Apps which shows that memory pool on the bottom says that I have only 50mb left and about 72mb ram is used...on a fresh boot!

Is this right? I know there are blades that got capped to 256mb (RAM?) from 512mb but why is my memory even less?

I need to use swap but I had to use a Class10 microSD to be almost lag free.

what a shame.. isn't that software limitation on some country models or just real 256mb by hardware ? i will try swap on my samsung which has only 160mb usable ram, how about swap with class6 sd card? could be too slow thought..
