Guest xam4 Posted September 9, 2011 Report Posted September 9, 2011 Hello, today I got my Viewpad 10s (same as Advent Vega). I rooted it and installed the new Vegacomb 3.2. Everything worked just fine an Vegacomb was insane! Then I had an bad idea and downloaded Rom Manager to install the newest Clockwork Revocery. In Rom Manager I had to choose between two devices, when I wanted to instal CWM (g tablet Version and something other, I thought they are the same  ). When I restarted the device there was just a black screen. I can't go in the recovery anymore and sometimes the backlight comes on. What should I do? Please help

Guest simonta Posted September 9, 2011 Report Posted September 9, 2011 Find a blackboard, and write out 100 times. The Vega is unbrickable. I will not install Clockworkmod with ROM Manager. Vegacomb includes Clockworkmod (but read the gotcha in the install instructions). If you need to reinstall clockwork or do it on some other ROM, then use the clockworkmod easy installer found here or on XDA.
Guest warriorscot Posted September 9, 2011 Report Posted September 9, 2011 Please read the instructions for your tablets. The Vega is unbrickable just install a stock rom.
Guest jhenry206 Posted September 27, 2011 Report Posted September 27, 2011 I've done the same silly thing...And now I can't get into NVFlash or CWM. Did you manage to find a way to fix it ?
Guest simonta Posted September 27, 2011 Report Posted September 27, 2011 Thousands of users, over many months, have consistently failed to brick a Vega. You can always get into NVFlash, you just need to keep trying and vary the timing. The forum is full of tips to try but personally, I've just "found the rythm". I refer you to my previous answer: Find a blackboard, and write out 100 times. The Vega is unbrickable. I will not install Clockworkmod with ROM Manager. The Vega is unbrickable. Guest jhenry206 Posted September 27, 2011 Report Posted September 27, 2011 OK, after writing out "The Vega is unbrickable. I will not install Clockworkmod with ROM Manager." 100 times and god knows how many attempts on getting into NVFlash...I've finally just managed it...! I won't be trying that again in a hurry !
