Guest Roph Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 Their new version is out, and for a short time they're making it available for free. Just thought I'd share for any others who are interested :) https://market.android.com/details?id=com.cootek.smartinputv5
Guest ColdEmbrace Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 Thanks for that free market downloads are worth it even if you wont use them yet, if it upgrades it free for life :)
Guest targetbsp Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 Thanks for that free market downloads are worth it even if you wont use them yet, if it upgrades it free for life :) It won't update once they start charging. I've had apps before from free sources (beta of Xenonauts and SETcpu downloaded from XDA) and once there is a price on the market, you can't update them without paying for it.

Looking at the description on the Market, it says this: To have a lifetime free upgrade license, fan us on Facebook (search "TouchPal") and follow us on Twitter @TouchPal.
Guest targetbsp Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 Nice! I didn't read that far. Looking at the picture it supports swiping now? I might have to give it a try in case Swype ever actually end their beta test. :D
Guest Roph Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 I've been using it today, it feels pretty good. And yeah it supports swiping, and it's very accurate. This may finally be the keyboard that makes me leave HTC_IME
Guest hedgepigdaniel Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 Its waaaay faster than swype, especially for swyping. But swype is more tolerant of innacuracy
Guest FelixL Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 Really one of the best keyboards out there. I only miss some settings from HTC_IME, like the longpress delay (always had that down to 100ms ;)) and customizable smileys
