Guest KevinM2 Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 I have never dabbled in the world of Android before, but when I saw the refurb Vega's for sale on Ebay for £140, I decided to give it a try. Anyway, after a quick scan on here it seems that there are good Vega's and bad Vega's :( Is there any way to tell whether I have a good or bad un? My plan is to upgrade it to VC 3.2, but I don't want to do that just yet, as I would imagine that would invalidate the 3 month warranty, so i tought I would check forst of all. Oh, and I also bought a class 10 16Gb micro SD card to go with it. Thanks for the help, for an Android newbie :)
Guest ursulavasey Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 You can't really tell if you have a good or bad Vega, as it is down to luck. However, changing the rom to Vegacomb, or any other rom, doesn't invalidate the warranty, as Dixons/Currys/PC World (aka DSG) have no problem with people changing roms. If you do change the rom and encounter a problem that warrants returning your Vega, simply reflash to stock rom and return it back - no problem. There are plenty of people here who are only too glad to help resolve any problems, meaning that you would only need to return it back to DSG if all else fails.
