Configuration: Rooted stock OS, I tried many differents ROM and kernels, no one works. They either don't boot or missing data connections (videotron offer 4g)... Clockwork recovery 4.0.1.5...

Even if there is more then 5gb of free memory on the internal SD Card, no matter what I do, app2sd, remove internal app, etc. the system always show 372 meg of system memory.

As I use SPB 3D Menu wich use around 50meg with my 165 apps all classified per category, in maybee 20 folders, I'm always running with around 150megs free.

So system get slow, and I can't beleive that I have 5gb free and the system use so little. There must be a way to change that.

Although it is 30 years I program and play with computers, I'm new to Linux and Android. But very impress by it. I know this is a Videotron configuration issue as I had an HTC Desire HD before with custom ROM OC at 1800mhz...

Thanks in advance for your input.

Have a nice day!

You say you have been a programmer for 30 years, but you don't know the difference between RAM & storage, be it rotating storage or solid state? Regardless of OS or hardware platform they never change.

I suppose it all depends on your idea of what a programmer is. ALL of the programmers I know have spent a considerable amount of time searching for memory leaks & optimising their use of RAM.
