Guest SaHiLz Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 Hey folks, My friend bricked his Liquid E from Fido. I have no idea what he had done as it wasn't booting after the inital Acer screen. I have flashed the following, but none of them are installing stock recovery. 1. 4.008.08.EMEA.VFIT (For Liquid E 512MB) 2. Acer_LiquidE_4.504b.00_EMEA-GEN1_05.01.05_f0b006c4dce996774c5ba6a17fcbf9c7 3. Acer_LiquidE_4.002.08_EMEA-GEN1_05.01.05_d086697749f6ef4b8ab5d5058e68810b All flash fine and I can boot to android, however none of them flash the stock recovery! I have tried to get to recovery via adb by typing adb reboot recovery. I get the little green android with exclamation mark. I have tried to install malez but no go! Any help please!
Guest thirtytwodave Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 (edited) once you reboot the phone it puts the stock recovery back on unless you switch to a custom rom their has been a fix released but i am not sure if i am allowed to release it as it was pmed to me have you tried this http://android.modaco.com/topic/303405-malezrecovery-image-061-easy-installer/ Edited September 16, 2011 by thirtytwodave

Guest SaHiLz Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 (edited) I suppose I posted a tad soon! I was able to install malez recovery after redoing 4.002 via tool. From there I downloaded the nandroid backup of FIDO update file. And now I am on FIDO 2,2 rom. However, now turns out phone is network sim locked! GAH!! I dont have a FIDO sim to try, but Rogers sim didn't work. Edited September 16, 2011 by SaHiLz
