Guest t0mm13b Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 A quick heads up, head over here to find out how to get your kanged build of CM7 working properly. For me, the repo script would not work as I would like to create a clean repo as my other is a mess! :D Will report back to see if this works :) B)
Guest wbaw Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 (edited) There's a patch for it now: There's a patch to use github mirrors here: http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#change,7918 cd to your system/android directory & enter this command git fetch http://review.cyanogenmod.com/p/CyanogenMod/android refs/changes/18/7918/1 && git checkout FETCH_HEAD apply that patch & it'll use github, then repo sync will work again. that'll probably only work if you already have the stuff from before kernel.org went down. if you want to download it all again, or if that doesn't work for some reason then you'll need the guide. Guest t0mm13b Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 Good news - it works if you're doing it from scratch, i.e. a new clean repo :) Yay! :D

Guest targetbsp Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 Awesome! Thanks for this. :) I'm a person 3 atm. :D
Guest t0mm13b Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 Awesome! Thanks for this. :) I'm a person 3 atm. :D Me too :D Great to hear that this worked for you :) Happy repo sync'ing  B)
Guest targetbsp Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 It didn't go especially well. It ran out of space and ubuntu wrecked itself. :|
Guest targetbsp Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 Take 3 in progress! I'm not giving up. The link works fine btw. Can't fault that. CM's instructions are pretty vague though for a Windows user. I keep having to google things that don't work properly where steps are skipped int he instructions that are probably obvious to Linux users.
