Desire S Freezes and Crashes

Hello all

I recently bought a (Second Hand) Desire S and its been very unreliable, it freezes, reboots and I have had to do a hard reset and reinstall the system about four times in two months.

Its an excellent phone but I have been told if I have the software re-flashed it will cure the problem as there is a fault on the operating system.

This I would go along with as the system updates cause it to freeze and give a red triangle on the screen and then its a fresh system install again.

I would like to do the reflash myself but need the software, My android version is Gingerbread 2.3.3.

Can anyone give me some pointers and help me get the right software for the phone,
