help on unlocking

i have smart netphone from the Philippines aka. zte blade and i got an unlock code here on modaco,but when i insert another carriers sim card,it doesnt ask for unlock code. emergency calls are only present from the screen. is there any other way to unlock my device?

malas mo bro baka iba ung process ng pag lock ng smart nyan,

I got my blade from orange(10months ago), hence it was unlocked to begin with.. hopefully some other genius sheds some light on how to unlock the smart netphone(zte blade rebrand)

Do not know but wondering this:-

Would a TPT do the trick to replace the amss.mbn in the rebranded handset, and then can unlock it? :unsure:

Please do not try it as that is an uncertainty.... <_<

it might be that it dosnt like your new sim card, borrow one of a friend and try again

i use an app called blade unlocker on mine

im not sure if this did an option though to actually ask for sim, all it apeared to do was to show the unlock code

solved my own problem... i just flashed CM7 rom. =)
