Need a new ROM - or other solution

I am running an old, but very stable ROM - Japenese Jellyfish, and use 2G only. I am trying to hook up to a Nexxus DrivespeedPro in-car kit which my wife has been successfully using for a couple of years with her Blackberry. The problems I have are:

1. Everytime I get into the car I have to reset "Discoverable" in the SF Bluetooth settings before the kit will connect - pain in the neck soince it then switches itself off after 120 secs

2.Voice calling does not work! I assume this is because the JJ ROM uses Google voice recognition which needs the network.

Are there solutions to either of these or is there a ROM which is known to work "out of the box" with this BT kit?
