Guest paulus22 Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 I am struggling to get my OSF (JJ9 ROM) to work with my car bluetooth kit (Nexus DrivespeedPro). It pairs and connects OK but when I try to initiate a voice call from the button on the BT kit I get no response. Receiving a call or making a call from the phone work fine its just the voice activation (which I know works with a Blackberry). Is there a setting I am missing? Is this a limitation of my particular ROM? and if so what ROM should I upgrade to JUST to get this feature to work? Many thanks
Guest paulus22 Posted September 27, 2011 Report Posted September 27, 2011 Do I assume that NOBODY has Bluetooth voice calling from within the car on ANY ROM? All I want is for the phone to respond to the Master Call button on the car kit when it is in standby/off in my pocket. Japanese Jellyfish certainly seems to not do this, and by the silence on this neither does any other ROM (although this has been basic function on most phones for over 5 years!).
Guest Demens Posted September 27, 2011 Report Posted September 27, 2011 (edited) This is actually rather odd. I use a bluetooth receiver with headphones that has call button in it. Mine does not normally voice dial either. Except when i do i before A2DP stereo profile kicks in, which is automatically started few seconds after the connection. I did it once by accident and didn't even think i had the possibility to do it. So it is there, i just cannot access it easily. I have Ginger Stir Fry 2.3.4 on Blade and this thing http://www.dealextreme.com/p/bck-08-bluetooth-stereo-handsfree-headset-10-hour-talk-200-hour-standby-47312 Edited September 27, 2011 by Demens
