Guest t0mm13b Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 To be honest - its a useless thing to have, slows down the handset and android itself etc despite what AVG are saying. Where's the common sense these days? Running a kind of anti-virus is only for those who download from pirate sites that could contain malicious code.. If you don't have common sense - say hello to malware/trojans! Really :) Ever hear of the expression - "practice safe hex".... :)

Guest targetbsp Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 Be aware that AVG will want to remove your superuser app as it's a security risk.
Guest t0mm13b Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 (edited) Be aware that AVG will want to remove your superuser app as it's a security risk. Really? :o did not know that - that's kind of self-defeating... I mean, surely, AVG would require root privileges to scan what-nots in the recesses and depth of the system... Oo And yet, remove superuser app... how ironic! Edited September 26, 2011 by t0mm13b
Guest targetbsp Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 Hmm they don't seem to. A few weeks back I tried about 30 virus killers (I admit it, I was bored! lol) and only one of them is in my superuser logs as asking for root. Most of them just scan data and the sd card.
