B7610 Community

Hi to everybody, i'm an italian (so sorry for grammatical mistakes) owner of a Samsung B7610.

I start this new topic with the purpose of creating a "community" for this device.

This community is divided in various session, with different purposes.

I hope this project will help me and lot of people in developing and loving this device.

Of course the community it's an eternal work in progress so feel free to add some stuff, suggest new ideas or sections, say your opinion or your complainings (i hope not ;-) )

For the italian users, i can give by pm the link to this same discussion but in italian (or i put in this thread if the modaco rules allowes it)

Yo man. Can you tell me please what are the limitations of Android OS on B7610? Keyboard works? Wifi etc? What will not work if ill install it today?

Hi russian,

finally an answer to mine topic:

Well, the limitation of android on b7610 are the following:

- Bluetooth isn't working

- WiFi isn't working

- Sometimes there is the problem known as "sleep to death" meaning that sometimes when you put your device to "sleep" itdoesn't wake up.

The pysical keyboard is working very well and the button are mapped correctly.

This is for the old release.

The new release is still a work in progress but the developers are trying to make bluetooth and wifi working.

I hope to have been enough atisfactory with this answer.

Aren't you just starting (yet another) collection thread?

I guess I don't see the point of starting a 'community' thread on a 'community' forum...

I thank you for your answer...well you could be right but i've thought that starting a "community" will help this device, who is becoming old, to be used and supported..that was my idea...
