Oh hai modaco.

Got an Orange San francisco (Gen2 TFT) and sudennly faced the big problem.

Every time i switch Wi-fi On, i have HUGE lags and no working wi-fi. It "turning on..."-lagging and then shows IP error, but lags stays even after it, so everytime i have to reboot phone. If i didn't catch to turn wi-fi off before i reboot, wi-fi stays enabled and then my phone won't load, so i have to backup/reinstall rom

I can't do anything with wi-fi but "turn on".

I've tried many different ROMS (2.2, 2.3), wi-fi managers, wi-fi fixer. Nothing helps. Hardware problem? How to fix it?

Sorry for my badword up english.

Hi all,

I've recently joined modaco but I went through the user feedback on the orange san francisco before purchasing a set while in London. Upon my return to India, I unlocked the phone and am now using it with my local 2G sim without any issues. However, I am unable to access the internet through wifi although the wifi icon is on and in "wireless and network settings" under settings it shows I'm connected to my service provider. I'm new to smart phones so am completely clueless and would really appreciate any help.

There's a certain Netgear router the phone doesn't work with IIRC? I cannot remember the model though. :(

Some routers dont like the dhcp stack on certain roms, bt home hubs are notorious for this.

To get round it, give the phone a static i.p. in settings->wireless&networks->wifi settings-->advanced.

It happens even then there are no routers around. I'm just turning on wifi and getting lags
