My experience and solution to not booting

• I had my phone randomly reboot itself, and when it rebooted it wouldn't get past the green android.
• Wouldn't boot after taking the battery out and rebooting twice
• I tried taking the battery out for a couple of minutes and rebooting, no luck
• Tried putting it on charge, no luck
• Wiping dalvik cache solved nothing
• Did a nandroid backup, rebooted phone - Success!

I don't suppose you have any idea why that worked? You do mean you made (as opposed to restored) a nandroid backup, right?
