This was posted in the GSF thread, I thought it deserved it's own thread.

ZTE released a new ROM for "ZTE ROAMER Series - Gingerbread kernel(2.6.35) source code".

Does that help for ROM development?

It doesn't help me, because I can't download it, all the links are 404 for me. If somebody can get it onto github, then it might help.

Crazy packaging they use....

Do they upload it via MMS? (zip it, then 7zip it then make one big rar file and split it up :P)

(Reminds me of pkzip 2.04 spanning multiple floppies)

No idea why they try to make it so hard.

It's been packed and split many times. It's basically source.tar.gz.7zip.zip. :)

Unzipped it couple of times and kernel_roamer.tar.gz also mirrored to mediafire:

Apparently it's exactly the same as the skate source code, just a different file name.

its not the exact same tarball as the sha256sum's don't match and there's one more level of directories, but the files inside look exactly the same.

as far as PR goes, zte are really shooting themselves in the foot here.
