and for best results use windows 7 or windows xp ,vista can be a pain .if you dont want to rom dump then proceed to root your mobile and install clockwork.i take it you have been following events elsewhere .the choice is yours .i have a guide if you want it.

i would not attempt the rooting yet as you are 2.3.5 we are all 2.3.4

the rooting guide is for 2.3.4 so i would wait till we figger out how to make a clean rom dump,

(just waiting for someone to correct us)

you should make a back up then try the rooting

also i would love to make a custom rom from your 2.3.5 back up smile.gif

What do you need? Rom dump? If so, I'm gonna need to make backup of my rom, to make reset to factory settings.

What is the best method to make backup of whole phone, for later restore?

Sorry if I have stupid questions, but Android is very new to me.

Thanks

Uff. I'm a little bit lost (from one thread to another). :( What you want me to do? Dump a clean rom for you (following this link http://android.podtwo.com/romdump/) or to try root the phone?

no just wait & i will get back to you when we get the method for a clean rom dump to work (might be tomorrow now tho)

hey, since you are windows 7 could you please try this..

plug the phone into your pc and let it install the drivers, the phone should show up as a CD drive the first time you hook it up...

Once you have the drivers installed you should be able to use ADB, you can enable this this by going into options/applications and turning on remote debugging..

grab a copy of ClockworkMod recovery from this forum >>> http://loadbalancing...jb2d757vhisfuxj and unzip it somehwere

it should come with a copy of fastboot-windows.exe and adb-windows.exe

rename the extracted file they are in to cwmskate (easy to type in adb)

press start then computer so you can see drive C: drag and drop the cwmskate file to C:

click start & in search enter cmd then press enter (black box pops up)

do the following cd C:\cwmskate >>>> press enter

now you should be able to type 'adb-windows.exe reboot bootloader' >>>>> press enter

and your phone should reboot and stay at the android logo, once that happens you should type 'fastboot-windows.exe boot clockworkmod.img' >>> press enter

and clockwork mod will boot...

once there you can use clockwork mod to do a full nadroid backup, make sure you only share your boot.img, recovery.img and system.img files, the other ones will contain your personal information..

Ok. When I'll be at home, I do it.

So it's not a problem, that I allready installed apps and have all my contacts in phone? They won't be saved in files you asked?

Identical matey, wish I was more technically minded like the Dev's on here, wouldn't have a clue on how to build the image from the files, but I'm more than happy to test any roms that might come out of this.
