Guest jackal-sk Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 O my Blade the new Market lags and stutters badly. The previous version was smooth with no lag. Is this because of Blade's hw or the Market not being optimized so well ?
Guest t0mm13b Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 That is a known issue with the Market v3.x.x.x It is laggy over 3G, but mind you, once it caches the images etc, its not too bad. It is still being finely tuned over time I guess as I have encountered weird behaviour from it, updating an app takes forever on 3G, when switching over to Wifi, it flies, some apps that are installed do not show up in 'My Apps' list.... So no worry, no matter about it, as its being updated continuously :)
Guest james1986 Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 The new market is horrible. Menu>settings>applications>market>uninstall updates will go back to the original version. Mine lasts for about a week before the update is forced on me :( Jim O my Blade the new Market lags and stutters badly. The previous version was smooth with no lag. Next time (3 mins later) it had already forced an update. Why the hell can't I stop it auto updating like all the other apps???

There's a hidden service called Market Updater that runs in the background... :) Perhaps, install droidwall and block the service or nuke it with Titanium Backup - I don't know as have not tried it. Sometimes, its best to let the Market Updater do the magic for you which will end up with a stable market app as time goes by :)
Guest targetbsp Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 Uninstall the update and freeze market updater in titanium. :)

Thanks for that, I had cancelled a few updates cos they were taking too long on 3G, but I just updated on WIFI and they took no time :)
