Sick of text problem - Which ROM should I move to?

Hi all. I've been out of the loop for some time, just using my phone on the stock 2.1 ROM. I'm not a heavy texter - mainly use the phone for the internet - but recently I've been aware that a good number of texts aren't getting through to me. I remember that this was originally a problem, but that the solution seemed to be to keep plenty of memory free. Even with no apps installed and the phone in a basic state, I'm probably receiving eighty percent of my texts.

I'm loathe to lose all my settings, favourites etc, but I've got to move to a ROM without the SMS bug. I know it's probably a frequently asked question, but what's the best ROM to eradicate the bug, and the easiest one to transfer all settings to?

Thanks in advance.

I use FLB 1.7 (based on Android 2.1) and so far (10 months) I haven't noticed that a SMS wasn't delivered on my phone.

Once we got swap enabled in the kernel the SMS bug was gone. As above - go for FLB mod. Best ROM for the Pulse imo. You'll need to parition your SD card correctly in order for swap and a2sd to work correctly.

I also had a lot of troubles with not receiving text messages, using Stock DE 2.1. I went to the CyanogenMod 7.1 and installed Swapper, I believe I don't have any troubles any more! I also think this is the best ROM, when combined with Launcher Pro. However there's one problem: the camera is not working. I don't mind though, it's too crappy anyways tongue.gif

I've just had my first dropped text (that I am aware of) since I installed FLB at least 6 months ago. I'm not a big user of texts, but it does shake your confidence in the phone when you miss something.
