Working now broken ZTE Blade [Solved]

Can anyone help?.

I had a fully working ZTE blade running Cyanogenmod v7. I turned it on one morning to see a message I had never seen before saying

"update from t-flash card" (in green) and then some text that I can't remember other than the final of three lines stated updating 1%.

The phone would not boot and got stuck at the android screen. When I tried to volume down and turn on to get into recovery mode nothing happened.

I saw this post http://android.modac...h-card-problem/ therefore I deleted the image file, but then I only got the android logo and no green text no matter what I did.

Searching on the forums I found this link http://android.modac...-also-the-imei/

which I followed and was able to get the phone to boot to clockworkmod recovery v.3.0.1.4. I installed a new rom (CM7) of which I downloaded a new copy not before deleting cache and data, but the phone will only boot into clockworkmod?. I have tried several other ROM's I have also tried the gen 1 to gen 2 TPT, this did not run, therefore I assume the phone is on Gen 2?

Have I bricked my phone or can anyone see how I might be able to rescue it?
